OHMZine
OHMZINE is the official publication of the OHMS Civic Club — a modern fanzine with an old-school heart. It’s written by Ohio music lovers, for Ohio music lovers. Each issue documents the pulse of the local scene through interviews, reviews, stories, and archival features that spotlight the artists, venues, and cultural forces shaping the Ohio Music Scene.
Born from the DIY spirit of classic underground zines, OHMZINE bridges generations — pairing deep archival dives from the OHMS Archive Foundation with fresh coverage of emerging bands, radio projects, and community events. It’s equal parts history, commentary, and celebration.
Inside every issue you’ll find:
Artist Features & Interviews — From Akron punk legends to new voices across Cleveland, Canton, and Youngstown.
Scene Reports — Local chapter updates from OHMS Civic Clubs across Ohio.
Archival Spotlights — Unearthed flyers, photos, and stories from the OHMS Archive.
Opinion & Commentary — Essays, reviews, and letters from readers.
Whether in print or digital form, OHMZINE is the voice of a movement — preserving Ohio’s musical legacy while amplifying the sounds of its future.
Read it. Write for it. Live it.
OHMZINE — the sound of Ohio, on paper.
